Loudfund is an upcoming crowdfunding platform that allows artists and their fans to create record deals. They needed a way for bands to promote partnerships with Loudfund before and during the funding campaign.
The “hype” page is a landing page where bands can direct their fans to sign up to be notified about new campaigns.
They also needed sharable images that bands could use for their social media campaigns to create awareness about their campaigns.
Branding and collateral for Partyscape, the unofficial app to parties at SXSW. Deliverables included a logo, event app assets, landing page and email template (design & development in Marketo), and postcard.
I had about 6 hours to concept, design and deliver final assets for this project. I had free creative reign and wanted to make something very geometric, simply because I love geometric patterns. Southwestern art tends to be heavily geometric (plus the event is in Texas) so going with a southwestern-inspired motif was a no-brainer! Some of my graphic inspiration:
For the title, I wanted to make some simple hand-drawn type to juxtapose the hard angles in the design. I was inspired by these guys:
I put some music on and got to sketching/dancing.
The hand-drawn type wasn't turning out well (props to all you letterers, that’s hard!), and it felt like too many styles happening at once, so I simplified and ended up with this:

Just a fun Yeti in a winter scene for the DoubleDutch 2013 company holiday party event app. After many requests from coworkers, I turned him into a desktop wallpaper too.
I was asked to come up with two fun T-shirt designs to give out at the annual DoubleDutch company offsite. There were many ideas, and a few went to a vote and became real. Unfortunately, some others went in the scrap bin.
Embracing our San Francisco roots, the above shirt showcases our casual "dd" icon comprised of icons of San Francisco landmarks.
His and hers scooter shirts that bear our internal tagline, "Ride Together, Die Together."
We have this saying at DoubleDutch: “Mobile is a rocket ship (and it's taking off),” so this shirt plays off the literal rocket ship idea.
Collateral for a hiring campaign and series of hiring open houses at DoubleDutch. One of our core values is "Be Remarkable," and keeping our culture intact as we grow and scale is very important to us. It only felt appropriate to highlight our remarkable employees on our recruiting collateral. Deliverables included a landing page (design & development in Marketo), postcard, 8-foot banner, and sharable images for social media.
