I’m currently teaching myself how to make websites like these, with the goal of developing my first parallax scrolling website as our wedding site.
Resource: Scrollorama jQuery plugin from John Polcaek.

I just discovered the amazing design, illustration and typography of Jessica Hische. Her website is so elegant and clean.
I’m pretty jealous of her mad skills, but one of my favorite projects of Jessica’s was the “Daily Drop Cap,” a project she started in Sept. 2009. As her site states, each day (or at least each work day), a new hand-crafted decorative initial cap will be posted for your enjoyment and for the beautification of blog posts everywhere.
See the full project at dailydropcap.com

Read through Jessica’s FAQs to learn more about her.
